About The Camp

Originally founded in 2001 by camp directors Guy Smith ( Huntingtown High) and Carl Smith ( Good Counsel). The 5 Tool Baseball Camp has been a feeder camp for  local high schools. The camp develops players at ages 5-7 and progresses them to the ages of 13-14 the summer before they enter high school.

The camp has produced high school players that have gone on and been successful in college baseball, both locally and nationally.

Camp Instruction includes:

• Hitting Techniques

• Fielding Fundamentals

• Throwing Mechanics

• Sportsmanship Lessons

• Base Running

• Outfield Instruction

As you saw on our front page our camp goes over the fundamentals of the game. Sportsmanship, Fielding, Hitting for average, Running, and Hitting for Power are what we think is most important for the age groups we are working with. We break down each aspect of the game into simple steps they (the kids) can understand and grasp at a young age, and practice everyday!
